Kawa of Care

The Kawa of Care is a an agreement between the students, their families and the school. Everyone is responsible for following the Kawa of Care when they use a digital device. The Kawa of Care applies at all times as we aim to encourage students to be digital citizens who are cybersmart!

Kawa of Care

  • I will respect the equipment (my Chromebook, power charger and bag) by always looking after it and keeping it safe.
  • I will respect others by always using this Chromebook to interact with anyone in a kind, positive and helpful way.
  • I will make the most of this opportunity to learn lots of new things and to share these with others.
  • I will always be in the right place, at the right time when I am online. If in doubt I will ask my teacher or parent.
  • I will protect my password and keep it completely secret.
  • I will log out when I am not using my Chromebook.
  • When I take my Chromebook home, I will keep it safe when I am not using it.
  • When I take my Chromebook home, I will make sure I bring it to school to use in the same condition that I was given it.
  • Once I am able to take the Chromebook home, I will bring it back to school everyday, charged and ready to use.

We then had to prove that we knew the Kawa of Care in order to receive our chromebooks! Lucky for us, everyone passed!

    Hi Rm 13, That is a very great idea to do like a True or False game about the Kawa of Care. I think that is a good idea to make that. Great job

    Hi Room 13 ,
    Great Quiz about the Kawa of care .Also at my school we have the Kawa of care and it means a lot to us because we like to take care of are Chromebook.it's such a great idea to do a quiz about kawa of care.Good Job and don't forget to check my blog Hpsfehit@blogspot.co.nz

    What a wonderful quiz, today I am in a quiz mood!. In our class at Haypark we have also been doing the Kawa of Care, here is one tip, you should add to the list that at school or home that you should not eat or drink anything near your chromebook.

    I like your quiz that was very outstanding that makes me wish that I had a quiz like your one you did. For some feedback you should put the answers at the end of the presetation/google slides.
